Harri Harding
Meet Harri, Wandering Books and Sound System Lead at LOST IN BOOKS.
Harri Harding is an award-winning composer, performer and educator. His music has taken him across the world, from running music workshops in Palestinian refugee camps to starting a big band in Ethiopia, drumming in Peruvian reggae bars and most recently spending time in Thailand as International Visiting Scholar to Khon Kaen University where he published his Thai-Australian Music Book “Adventures in Khon Kaen”.
Harri is also Composer In Residence and Band Director at Newtown and Concord West Primary Schools, creating new ways of running bands for children. Harri also co-founded the 18- piece all-female and trans Sirens Big Band who play music from around the globe.
Harri studied composition, pedagogy and Arabic language at The Sydney Conservatorium of Music, University of Sydney. Harri is an artist and music facilitator for LOST IN BOOKS’ SOUND SYSTEM program.
